Volkswagen, the
European leading automaker from the German land has unveiled the Passat, the
topmost sedan from the house with the latest telematics solution--Volkswagen
Connect. Volkswagen Connect is at present offered in Passat and also three
other models. It is present in Comfortline and Highline variants.
Volkswagen has priced
the Comfortline model at ₹ 25.99 lakh whilst the Highline trim is priced at ₹
28.99 lakh. As reported by the German automaker the 'Connect' app assists the
customers to connect the Passat to individual smartphones via a plug-and-play
data dongle fixed to the car’s on-board diagnostics (OBD) port. Once fitted and
connected to a smartphone through Bluetooth, users can go through highly
sophisticated connected attributes like fuel cost analyzing, trip tracking,
driving behaviors and lot more.
The latest Connect app
that comes with the Passat goes in harmony with both iOS and Android devices. The
Connect can be downloaded in App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android
mobiles respectively. The App gives info for the customers such as Location
sharing, SOS calling and also informing automatically the dealers regarding the
service appointment.

The Passat comes with
many high-end luxury features which include 9 Airbags, Auto Hold, Dynamic
chassis control, Hill Start Assist, Reverse camera with 360-degree area view,
Nappa leather seats, Park assist, App connect, 3 zone Auto AC, Full LED
Headlamps with DRLs and LED tail-lamps, Electric adjustable front seat, and
easy open boot amongst others.
Coming to mechanic
changes the luxurious car comes with no changes and is power packed with the
already present 2.0-litre diesel engine which delivers 177hp and 350Nm of
torque according to the Volkswagen Service
Center Kukatpally. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed
dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
As said by the automaker
the car runs about 17.42 km per liter. There is also the ‘Think Blue Trainer’
on the infotainment system which provides the driver alerts to enhance his/her
driving efficiency.
